Counter Act Holding Group is determined to be seen to be effective in alleviating the housing problem for the average South African. It strives to implement fair practice by developing good housing options in the long term, to allow any South African to be able to rent a decent, value for money abode, or to own his or her own home. The Book 66 Housing Project was born in 2009, and while there were major difficulties in getting finance during the long recession, the vision has now become a reality with seven completed blocks in Kempton Park, plus another 4 blocks coming on line in 2015. Our existing buildings are all fully let with zero defaults or vacancies.
A new vision was born in 2012, when it was noticed that there was a gross lack of adequate student accommodation at our universities and tertiary institutions. To this end Counter Act intends to address this issue by again providing first class state-
