CPD Offers services for small projects through Design Services and the Small Projects Delivery Team. Design Services has experience in building remodels, laboratories, classrooms, auditoriums and offices. They bargain the following services: interior design, architectural design, mechanical/electrical engineering, way finding and signage, ADA survey and mapping, as-build record documentation, floor plans/lease areas and move management.
For larger projects, the General Construction/Construction Manager (GC/CM) process may be utilized. This process obtains the general contractor earlier in the process and allows them to be more involved with the design phase of the project. Using information from the GC/CM early in the design phase can reduce costs, save time later in construction and reduce the potential for change orders.
The time frames differs for each project because of to many factors, ranging from the size of the project to the number of regulatory issues involved. CPD will help control the best way to achieve a successful project.
Once the project begins, CPO's fee normally follows the state Office of Financial Management guidelines based on the project size. Typically, the fee ranges from 3-10% of the total project cost.
